Are you starting to get nervous over the interview you have in the next few days? Don’t worry you are not the first person to get the pre interview nerves, everybody feels like this before going into an interview.
Not to worry, there are a few helpful tips that can help you get through the interview and hopefully give you the best possible chance of being offered the role.
Firstly, you have to remind yourself that the worst possible thing that could happen is you won’t be offered the position. The sooner you realise that this is the case the better you should feel.
Secondly, make sure that when you are in the interview don’t rush to answer questions and if you don’t understand a question don’t be hesitant to asking the interviewer to explain, in turn this will give you more time to think about your answer.
Thirdly, If you are nervous try and be discreet about it if possible, try not to start playing with your hair and don’t fidget. If you can try and keep yourself occupied by writing notes throughout the interview.
Lastly, if you feel as if you are being put under pressure during the interview it is normally because the interviewer wants to see how you cope under pressure. If you think about this before the interview you can prepare yourself for this situation.
I hope that this post helps you in the future when you are heading into your next interview and gives you the best possible chance of securing your next role. Remember it doesn’t matter if someone is going on their first interview or their tenth they will more than likely be nervous when going in.
Good Luck to everyone and the last thing is, just remember to be yourself
